Artistically furnished Creekside House with Pond

We had a great stay! The house is so beautifully decorated! We had a great time just exploring the house and all the vintage treasures and art. So fun! Kids had a blast in the backyard with the creek and pond. Also very quick drive to Main Street in Waynesville to explore there as well. Host was very responsive and friendly.

We are full time travelers and live in our RV. We are having repairs done and being displaced hasn’t been ideal, but we found the cottage to be cozy, relaxing and homey! It was clean and creatively decorated. The well stocked kitchen and linens were perfect! The window ACs kept the place nice and cool. The location is perfect for exploring small mountain towns. The Great Smoky Mountains are not too far away. Historic Waynesville downtown was probably one of the best, walkable small towns we have visited in our travels. The pictures of the cottage itself are a tad bit deceiving. It is right beside a very busy main road that connects Asheville and Waynesville. The house is basically separated from the road by the driveway. You have to strategically position yourself to exit the drive. Traffic is busy and it sits just off a curve. That being said, once you are inside it is quiet and very private. We loved it! We found the cottage to be perfect for the week we were there!

Really well-executed renovation. Quirky yet classy, just like Waynesville itself. The place was extremely clean, easy to access, seemed safe, and very easy access to downtown. We started with breakfast & coffee at Orchard, followed up with shopping and dinner at Watami - a must try. Gyoza, ramen, and sushi were all on point. We (again) shopped all day then had dinner at Suwana - the pumpkin curry and the sushi were both excellent. Shopping recommendations: Twigs & Leaves Gallery, Affairs of the Heart (so fun), Cornerstone Mercantile, Gates flea market and, believe it or not, Habitat for Humanity. We saw the elk in Cataloochee near the campground and wandered through the gardens at Haywood Community Gardens in Clyde. Fished the pond but didn’t catch anything (it was still fun) and got to meet the donkeys on the property behind us from afar. We’ll be back.
